Backpacking Mogilev is a great fun and a must do for every solo traveler to Belarus. And in this travel blog I’ll share with you some of my top places to visit in Mogilev.
Going on a 4 days trip to Mogilev is sufficient to see some of the city’s top sights. So buckle on and let’s explore Mogilev.
1. Mahilioŭ Zoological Garden
Mahilioŭ Zoological Garden is a great city zoo housing a myriad of animals.
Take a relaxing walk and enjoy your time at the zoo. The many animal species of the zoo will keep you entertained. Feeding sessions are always fun, try to time your visit.
Surely, a great idea for a idyllic picnic. If you are a family, you will surely enjoy the zoo.

2. Belarusian heritage village of the 19th century
One of the favorite tourist places to visit in Mogilev is the Belarusian heritage village of the 19th century.
3. Mahilioŭ Town Hall
Mahilioŭ Town Hall is a historic town located on the city’s main square in the heart of the city. The town hall houses the local government of the city.
The town hall is actually a fine reconstruction of the real one. The Mahilioŭ Town Hall follows the Neoclassical architecture style.

4. Astronomer
Astronomer is a unique monument, and a modern landmark of the Mogilev city. Right among the top places to visit in Mogilev is the Astronomer.
5. Piačerski forest park
Piačerski forest park is a nature and animal reserve located not far from Mogilev.
There are so many of these beautiful birds here. If you are into waterfalls you won’t be disappointed. The adjoining lodge is good and pretty livable.
The mountains are tall and majestic. The flora and fauna in the national park is varied and interesting.
6. Metelitsa
Metelitsa is a gambling hub located in Mogilev with a variety of ‘luck’ based games. It is one of the top places to visit in Mogilev.
7. St. Nicholas Monastery Complex
St. Nicholas Monastery Complex is a religious complex founded centuries ago.
St. Nicholas Monastery Complex is a nice tranquil place away from the chaos. The monastery is noted for its beautiful chapel, old library and cloister. The monastery also houses religious scholars and monks.

8. Co-Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin and St. Stanislaus
Co-Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin and St. Stanislaus is an old Cathedral located in the Mogilev city. Add it to your Mogilev trip if you have time.
The old organ is one of the main attraction of the cathedral. The cathedral houses the tombs of important dignitaries of that era. The elaborate dome of the Co-Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin and St. Stanislaus is one of the centerpiece of attraction.
The statues placed here are stunning to say the least. The cathedral is conveniently located in the city’s old town. The Co-Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin and St. Stanislaus follows the Baroque architecture style.
On 1738 the cathedral was opened for the public.
9. P. Maslienikaŭ Mahilioŭ Regional Art Museum
P. Maslienikaŭ Mahilioŭ Regional Art Museum is an art museum of great importance located in the city of Mogilev.

10. Je. Ramanaŭ Mahilioŭ Regional Local History Museum
Je. Ramanaŭ Mahilioŭ Regional Local History Museum is a museum housing historical artefacts. If you have time, it makes for a nice addition to your Mogilev trip. The museum comprises of numerous rooms housing archaeological collections, items of art and numismatics belonging to the region.
The history museum is housed in a beautiful building. Overall, the museum looks well organised and very well presented.
11. Museum of Ethnography
Museum of Ethnography is an ethnography museum showcasing the people and culture of Mogilev region.
This Ethnography Museum is a unique place to visit, indeed. The Ethnography Museum has an enviable cultural collection. The collection of articles depict the local life.
12. Arch of Glory
Arch of Glory is a heart-felt monument located in Mogilev. Add it to your Mogilev trip if you have time.
13. Fighters for Soviet Power
Fighters for Soviet Power is a beautifully sculpted statue which was erected as a monument in the Mogilev city.
14. Star square
Star square is a busy public square located in the city of Mogilev. If you have time, it makes for a nice addition to your Mogilev trip.
The rich history of the square is worth exploring. The fountain here is beautiful to look at. The square is indeed a popular meeting point for the locals.
It is one of the biggest square in the region. The square is surrounded by popular buildings.
All in all, whether you are a backpacker, a solo traveler or a female traveler, a couple or a family, there are plenty of things to do in Mogilev for everyone.
