Latvia is a beautiful country, with a range of attractive sites. There are plenty of top things to see in Sigulda, the beauty and charm of this incredible city will be showered upon you as soon as you arrive.

In my opinion, 3 days in Sigulda is good time to see the best that city has to offer. But if you can add 2-3 days more you’d be able to experience rather than ‘see’ that an ordinary tourist does. 1. Turaida Castle
Located on top of a high hill, Turaida Castle is a beautiful medieval structure.
Look over the edges to the sprawling cityscape in front of you, certainly a view worthy of a click. Start with the visitor center, and grab the free map!

4. Gauja National Park
Gauja National Park is a large forest reserve located in the Sigulda region.

- It was in 1973 when it was established.
With so much to offer, no wonder Gauja National Park is one of the top things to do in Sigulda.
5. Sigulda Castle

6. Tarzans Park
Tarzans Park is a beautifully landscaped park spread over a large area in Sigulda.
This fabulous park was developed with the sole aim to promote the good health of the citizen.
Stroll along the pathways and rest on the grassy areas, find your own spot of relaxation. Tarzans Park provides a good excuse to take a break from the busy sightseeing day, and take time out relaxing.

7. Krimulda Castle
Krimulda Castle are the ruins of a fort perched on a cliff top.
Quick Facts:
- The castle ruins was built somewhere around 14th century.

8. Sigulda’s cable car
Take the Sigulda’s cable car up the hill for fabulous views of the town.
As an alternative way to get to the top is hiking, but it takes time.
During the peak tourist season, it is recommended that you buy ticket in advance.

9. Spieķu parks
Spieķu parks is a large landscaped park, an oasis of greenery, located in Sigulda.
It is a good way to reconnect with nature – relax under the shady trees, watch the kids play.
You can find various paths and trails leading you through the tranquil nature. The park is wonderfully designed with features such as ponds, fountains, and gravelled paths.
If you have time, it makes for a nice addition to your Sigulda trip.
10. Velnalas cliffs

12. Sigulda Roman Catholic Church
Don’t forget to pay a visit to Sigulda Roman Catholic Church, which is regarded to be one of Sigulda’s most beautiful churches.
As this is a sacred location, anyone who want to enter are advised to cover their knees and shoulders. A donation at the entrance is optional but encouraged, since it will go towards the preservation of this piece of history.
