    1. Byurakan Observatory


    Byurakan Observatory is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by nation’s scientific institute. Byurakan Observatory is in-fact one of the top observatories in the area. Byurakan Observatory is also an important center for astronomical studies.
    The fab views are something to be seen though. A visit to Byurakan Observatory is truly a treat for the amateur astronomers. Stargazing is a popular activity at this observatory.
    The observatory is located on the slope of a hill close to Byurakan. The observatory is actually named after Victor Ambartsumian.

    2. Artavazik Church


    Artavazik Church is an old church located in the city of Byurakan. It is one of the popular attractions in Byurakan.
    At the top fab views are all around you. The interior floor is decorated quite beautifully. Climb up, and up and up to get to the top.
    I usually look for altar, it usually tells you how beautiful the church is. And you won’t be disappointed here. And the altar pieces are the icing on the cake. The church is built in a Armenian Architecture style.

    3. Arshakid Mausoleum


    Arshakid Mausoleum is a commemorative monument in the Byurakan city.
    The mausoleum is built in a Armenian Architecture style.

    4. Vahramashen Church

    Vahramashen Church is an interesting church that can be found in Byurakan.
    The cemetry has got quite a few notable person buried. The high vault has lot of details built into it. The choir is decorated with beautiful religious paintings.
    Take the stairs to reach the top. The church looks imposing as if staring right back at you. The Vahramashen Church follows the Armenian Architecture style.
    On 1026 the church was opened for the public.

    5. Amberd Fortress


    Amberd Fortress is a centuries-old ruined fortress perched on top of a hill. Add it to your Byurakan trip if you have time. You can follow the hiking trail which leads to the stone remains of this old fort. Foundation stones lay bare in this historic fort ruin.
    You can still see the abandoned old cannons in the area. Visit the fort ruins for sunset views. The fort ruins is considered to be built by Kamsarakan family.

    6. Surp Hovhannes Church

    Surp Hovhannes Church is a beautiful church located in the Byurakan city.
    Bow down and you will see the colorfully painted floor. The beautiful stained glass are in the league of their own. There is a cute little chapel here as well.
    You need to climb up, take the flight of stairs. The church just kinda looks very imposing. The Surp Hovhannes Church follows the Armenian Architecture style.
