Backpacking Tsaghkadzor is a rich and delightful experience with so much to do and see. And in this travel blog I’ll share with you some of my top places to visit in Tsaghkadzor.
3 days in Tsaghkadzor is good time to see the best that city has to offer. So buckle on and let’s explore Tsaghkadzor.
1. Kecharis Monastery
Kecharis Monastery is a religious sanctuary, a monastery located close to the Tsaghkadzor city.
The monastery also houses religious scholars and monks. The monastery features a beautiful church, religious library & a museum with historical artifacts. Kecharis Monastery is a nice tranquil place away from the chaos.
The monastery is built in a Armenian Architecture style.

2. Tsaghkadzor ski resort
Tsaghkadzor ski resort is a resort popular among visitors for skiing & snowmobiling. It is a popular tourist destination in Tsaghkadzor.
Snowshoe hiking can be quite fun here, tbh my favorite activity. You will find the staff to be friendly and helpful. The ski resort has a top elevation of 2,820 m (9,252 ft).
The ski resort has a base elevation of around 1,966 m (6,450 ft).

3. Makravank Monastery
Makravank Monastery is a religious complex founded centuries ago.
The monastery is noted for its beautiful chapel, old library and cloister. The Makravank Monastery follows the Armenian Architecture style.
Getting there: Hrazdan, Armenia
4. Saint Harutyun Church
Saint Harutyun Church is a landmark monastery built centuries ago. One of the favorite tourist places to visit in Tsaghkadzor is the Saint Harutyun Church.
The monastery features a beautiful church, religious library & a museum with historical artifacts. Saint Harutyun Church is a nice tranquil place away from the chaos. The monastery also houses religious scholars and monks.
5. Orbeli Brothers House Museum
Orbeli Brothers House Museum is a small museum in Tsaghkadzor city.
Getting there: Orbeli Brothers Street, Tsaghkadzor 2310, Armenia
6. Teghenis Mountain
Teghenis Mountain is a tall mountain standing majestically in Tsaghkadzor area. If you have time, it makes for a nice addition to your Tsaghkadzor trip.
8. Saint Thaddeus Church
Saint Thaddeus Church is a house of Christian worship located in the city of Tsaghkadzor. Add it to your Tsaghkadzor trip if you have time.
The church looks kinda imposing, and I mean it in a positive way. The choir is decorated with beautiful religious paintings. The altar truly is the centerpiece of the church.
Take the guided tour if you want to make it more interesting. And the altar pieces will steal your attention.
