As you tour Estonia, you can’t possibly miss visiting Muhu. Whether you’re coming for business or pleasure, there’s always something to do and places to see in Muhu.

In my opinion, 3 days in Muhu is good time to see the best that city has to offer. But if you can spare couple of days more that’s even better, you can take the sights more slowly. Here is a combined list of best tourist places in Muhu as well as some of the best things to do in Muhu.
1. Viirelaid
Viirelaid is a small island lying off the city’s coast, only a short distance from the Muhu city.
You will get to see some of the fantastic views of the sea.
And to top it off, the boat trip to Viirelaid itself is really enjoyable. Visitors to this place also like to engage in snorkeling.
2. Kesselaid
Kesselaid is a serene island, known for its scenic beauty, located out in the open sea.
You will get to see some of the fantastic views of the sea.
The beach with crystal clear water is clearly a winner. Snorkeling is a particularly popular activity here.

- Spreading over an expanse of 170 ha, it’s difficult to see it all in one go.
With so much to offer, no wonder Kesselaid is one of the top things to do in Muhu.
3. Muhu Museum
A small but competent museum, Muhu Museum is good for a quick visit.

4. Muhu St. Catherine’s Church
A beautiful addition to city’s architecture, Muhu St. Catherine’s Church is a house of christian worship located in Muhu.
As this is a sacred location, anyone who want to enter are advised to cover their knees and shoulders. In the church grounds there is a cemetry as well.

- A fine example of Gothic architecture, the church is a center of xLutheran faith.
- The church was opened on 1267.
- It is Otto von Lutterberg who is credited with found this gem of a site.

7. Üügu Nature Park
If you have time, it makes for a nice addition to your Muhu trip.
8. Port of Virtsu
If you are interested in seeing a working port in action you are at the right place.
9. Eemu Windmill
Eemu Windmill is a windmill park with numerous windmills spread over a large area.
Here you can also see some old farming equipments and machinery.

- Also worth seeing here include a mini zoo.
