A trip to Ireland will sooner or later take you to the gorgeous Londonderry. When you walk about this charming city and note the plethora of popular tourist attractions in Londonderry that dot the streets, you may get the impression that it is a unique travel destination.

In my opinion, 4 days in Londonderry is good time to see the best that city has to offer. But if you can add 2-3 days more you’d be able to experience rather than ‘see’ that an ordinary tourist does. 1. Peace Bridge
Spanning over the entirety of the width, the Peace Bridge is noted for its wonderful design and long history.
With design so unique, Peace Bridge provides a visual treat to its visitors. For a unique perspective I recommed you to see it from water by boarding a public ferry.

2. The Derry Walls
Encircling the city are a series of stone walls which once acted as a defensive barrier.
These city walls surround/circle the old center of Londonderry and stand firm to this day. Consider walking along the path which runs parallel to the wall admiring the amazing craftsmanship.
Popular activities include taking a walk along these historical defensive walls. Some parts of the wall were demolished over time, but many can still be seen today.

7. St Columb’s Park
St Columb’s Park is a large landscaped park, an oasis of greenery, located in Londonderry.
Take a walk through this lovely park and simply enjoy the outdoors.
Sit on a bench and meditate or bring your favorite book or simply sit and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. Spring is the season when hundreds of flowers are on full blossom.

8. Shipquay Street
Shipquay Street is a long shopping strip located in the central Londonderry.

9. Grianan of Aileach
A centuries-old ruined fortress perched on top of a hill.
You can follow the hiking trail which leads to this old fort. Not much to see actually only the foundation stones lying bare in this historic fort ruin.

- This 5 m tall structure is certainly magnificent to look at.
10. Riverwatch Aquarium
Riverwatch Aquarium is a small aquarium, good for a quick, fun visit.
It’s a delight to see so many colorful fish in the tank.

12. Diamond War Memorial
A beautiful monument located in central Londonderry, Diamond War Memorial makes for a quick visit.
No wonder, visiting Diamond War Memorial could be quite an emotional experience. Diamond War Memorial is dedicated to the fallen soldiers, victims of the war, who lost their lives.
Quick Facts:
- Vernon March, Sydney March are the prominent architects who were involved in designing and building it.
- The war memorial is located on The Diamond in the centre of Derry.
- Vernon March is the famed artist behind it.
- Easy to get to Diamond War Memorial is located in central Derry.

13. Brooke Park Derry
Brooke Park Derry is a beautifully landscaped park spread over a large area in Londonderry.
It is a good way to reconnect with nature – relax under the shady trees, watch the kids play.
One of my favorite thing to do here is simply grabbing a book, and lying down on the lap of green. It’s easy to spend an entire day here, wandering through these flourishing gardens.
