While Três Irmãos is far from a secluded beach in Portimão, its tranquil seas and sandy beaches attract locals and tourists alike.

Without a doubt this wonderful other beach is one amongst the top things to do in Portimão.

Praia dos Caneiros is a beautiful wild beach secluded from the civilization.
Enjoy swimming in a clear blue water and stunning views here at Praia dos Caneiros. You can reach here by following a narrow dirt road.
Since not many people come here, you have the beach all to yourself.

5. Fort of Santa Catarina
A centuries-old ruined fortress perched on top of a hill.
You can follow the hiking trail which leads to this old fort. Not much to see actually only the foundation stones lying bare in this historic fort ruin.

- The fort ruins is located at an elevation of 10 m.
If you have time, it makes for a nice addition to your Portimão trip.

6. Quinta do Francês Winery
A winery in Portimão with a fantastic facility producing fine quality wine.
At the end of the tour you will be treated with a tasting of some of the estate’s wines. And if you want to learn more about winemaking in this region of Portugal consider staying at a local guest house.
