    Visit Lithuania once and you wouldn’t want to pack your bags. It might be difficult for travelers with a limited amount of time to decide what to see in Kaunas.

    Through this Kaunas blog, I will share with you some of the most interesting things to do in Kaunas.

    In my opinion, 4 days in Kaunas is good time to see the best that city has to offer. But if you can add 2-3 days more you’d be able to experience rather than ‘see’ that an ordinary tourist does. So, without further ado, let me present you some of the best things to do in Kaunas, top things to do in Kaunas and some helpful travel tips.

    1. Kaunas Castle

    Kaunas Castle is a medieval fortified structure perched over a hilltop.

    Occasionally, you will find information boards giving you details about the place. There are trails running around the castle which takes you through the woods and to a series of vantage points.

    2. Pažaislis Monastery

    Pažaislis Monastery

    The monastery is known for its religious studies. Chants not only vibrate through the chambers of the monastery but through your body.

    • Built in Baroque architecture style, it is eye pleasingly pretty site to look at.

    • Also worth seeing here include a wrecked 1930s plane.

    The adjoining cemetry has got quite a few famous people buried. It is well worth to pay a small donation, as it goes towards supporting the ongoing upkeep of this piece of history.
