A trip to Lithuania will sooner or later take you to the gorgeous Vilnius. It doesn’t matter whether you’re here for fast-track travel or leisurely sightseeing; there is an endless supply of things to do and sights to see in Vilnius.

In my opinion, 5 days in Vilnius is good time to see the best that city has to offer. But if you can spare couple of days more that’s even better, you can take the sights more slowly. Here are the best things to see in Vilnius along with a list of the most interesting things to do in Vilnius:
1. Gediminas Castle Tower
Gediminas Castle Tower is a fortified medieval tower located in the city of Vilnius.
It was once part of the defensive walls which surrounded the city.

Bernardine Park is a large landscaped park, an oasis of greenery, located in Vilnius.

The Bernardine Park is composed of numerous different sections including abundant lawns, fountains, a monument, shady trees and a variety of flower beds. Sit on a bench and meditate or bring your favorite book or simply sit and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

13. The Presidential Palace
Built centuries ago, this historical building is the official residence of the president of Lithuania.
Many stately official ceremonies are held here. One of the numerous reasons to pay a visit to this president palace is to take in the artworks that decorate the inside.

14. Europos Parkas
Europos Parkas is essentially an outdoor museum that comes with a life-size village.
The idea of Europos Parkas is to show coming generations how living in Lithuania was before the modern times.
And when you are tired with all the walking around, visit the café where you can have a classic local cuisine. This is the place where you can see traditional crafts like weaving, forging, and pottery all in action.

- Spreading over an expanse of 50-hectare, it’s difficult to see it all in one go.
- The open air museum was opened on 1991.

An interesting museum in Vilnius, MO Museum collects some of the finest pieces of modern art.

18. Choral Synagogue
Choral Synagogue is a prominent synagogue located in the older part of the Vilnius city.
