Slovenia has long been my favorite, with great many sights to see. As a long list of best places in Bled to see awaits you, the city will undoubtedly entice and enchant you.
And in this Bled blog I’ll share with you some of my top things to do in Bled.
Going on a 5 days trip is sufficient to see some of the most interesting places in Bled. But if you can add 2-3 days more you’d be able to experience rather than ‘see’ that an ordinary tourist does. Let me share with you the best things to do in Bled and tips to make the most out of your trip.
1. Lake Bled

- The alpine lake houses an island with a cute church.
2. Soteska Vintgar
Running for several kilometres through the bare nature is the much loved site of Soteska Vintgar.
Keep going until you finally reach there, pause only to take a drop in the crystal clear waters.
The river’s gorgeous blue water and the beautiful flowers blooming make it ideal for an idyllic afternoon. Sandwiched between the two hills, there is a beautiful stream that runs through it, sculpting into what you see today.
Without a doubt this wonderful gorge is one amongst the top things to do in Bled.

3. Bled Castle
Best known for its legendary fairy style appearance, Bled Castle is to be seen to be believed.
The castle features pointed turrets typical of a fairystyle architecture.

- Some of the things Bled Castle features include a museum and a fine dine restaurant.
- The fairytale castle was built somewhere around 11th century.
- It doesn’t take an expert to see that it is built in a Renaissance architecture style.

4. Bled Island
A tiny island located within the bounds of a serene lake.
It looks fascinating from a distance, and makes for a picture-perfect backdrops for your holiday snaps.
An incredible sight, Bled Island scores high in the list of the best things to do in Bled.
5. Pokljuka
Pokljuka is wide plateu, a mountain pasture, surrounded by a lush green tree cover.
Several trails lead from here and it is quite popular starting point for the mountain hikers.
Enjoy the views of the surrounding peaks, crisp mountain air, and chirp of the birds. You can also enjoy a little picnic with a packed lunch admist the beautiful nature.

6. Radovna Valley
A visit to Radovna Valley is warranted for every nature lover.
But if you are going there in rainy season, be cautious you might slip. With so much greenery around, being at Radovna Valley means being one with nature.

7. Stol
Hike through this beautiful destination, it will remain with your forever.

8. Mala Osojnica
A hiking trail bit on the challenging side, a perfect opportunity to test your endurance.

It’s a church quite popular amongst the christians, and a part of their pilgrimage.
Not just now, Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Maria has been a prominent site of worship for generations.

- Easy to get to Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Maria is located in the midgst of a lake island.
- It is built in a mix of architectural styles namely Gothic architecture, Baroque architecture.
If you have time, it makes for a nice addition to your Bled trip.

12. Pustolovski park Bled
Thrillseekers rejoice, for Pustolovski park Bled has everything that you could ask for a fun-filled day.
A great combination of obstacles and climbing tracks await you. Try the zipline, an activity that almost everyone can do and enjoy.

13. Jelovica
Jelovica is a tree covered meadow, a plateau set in the rising mountains.
Several trails lead from here and it is quite popular starting point for the mountain hikers.
Carry a packed lunch as there are plenty of spots to do little picnic here.

14. Iglica Falls
A visit to Iglica Falls is warranted for every nature lover.
You’re going to feel hungry eventually, sit down and grab a quick bite at one of the cafes nearby. With so much green around, it is a very serene place to be.

15. Dino Park Bled – Radovljica
Dino Park Bled – Radovljica is a small dinosaur themed park meant primarily for kids.

16. Velika Osojnica
With its fairy tale-like appearance, Velika Osojnica is a natural tourist hotspot.
The mountain lake is surrounded by mountains, adding to the dramatic views of the area. Go for boating, a great way to take in the serenity of the lake.
17. Prešeren House
Prešeren House is a house turned museum established in the honor of Slovenia’s one of the top cultural icons.
The mansion has been preserved as a museum to provide a glimpse into the life of this noteworthy personnel. This magnificent mansion and garden may be enjoyed by everyone even who know little about the person.

- The house museum was built somewhere around 19th-century.
- The house museum is dedicated to France Prešeren, the famous Slovenian poet.

18. Babji zob Cave
Opened top public only recently, Babji zob Cave is a karst cave located on the outskirts of Bled.
The entire landscape looks like another world. The cave is well lit at most of the places.

19. Bled Castle Museum
Bled Castle Museum is an interesting museum located in Bled.
The museum comprises of numerous rooms housing archaeological collections, items of art and numismatics belonging to the region.

20. Wine Tasting Bled
