You can easily get from Singapore Airport to Furama City Centre by MRT. Take the Downtown line going towards Bukit Panjang Station.
Keep a note of Chinatown Station, this is where you need to get off. From there you can easily take a 2 min walk.
Take exit D. You won’t have to wait long for the next MRT to arrive, as MRT leaves frequently. The total time needed to travel is approx. 35 min.
You need to pay extra for the luggage. The MRT has full ac. The ride is comfortable.

Step 1: Take the MRT towards Tanah Merah Station. Keep a note of Expo Station, this is where you need to get off.
Step 2: Take the Downtown line going towards Bukit Panjang Station. Chinatown Station is where you get off the MRT.
