    Traveling to Dubrovnik soon and can’t decide where to visit? You are in luck. And in this travel blog I’ll share with you some of my top places to visit in Dubrovnik.

    Going on a 5 days trip to Dubrovnik is sufficient to see some of the city’s top sights. So let’s begin our trip to Dubrovnik, shall we?

    1. Walls of Dubrovnik


    Walls of Dubrovnik is a historical fortifications around the Dubrovnik city. The wall has quite a few gates which bear notable decorations. Some parts of the fortification still remains preserved and is a sight to appreciate.
    The list of architects include Giorgio da Sebenico, Paskoje Miličević Mihov, Michelozzo, Antonio Ferramolino, Mihajlo Hranjac. The city wall stands tall at a height of Up to 25 m (82 ft). The material used in the construction include Limestone.

    2. Lokrum


    Lokrum is a small island lying off the west coast, only a few kilometres from the Dubrovnik city. One of the favorite tourist places to visit in Dubrovnik is the Lokrum. You will get to see some of the fantastic views of the sea.

    War Photo Limited is a museum of photography illustrating different aspects of wars. It is one of the most popular tourist places in Dubrovnik. The museum presents a very moving photographic history of wars.

    Lapad is a popular tree lined beach with clear blue water, soft sand & a promenade. Right among the top places to visit in Dubrovnik is the Lapad.
    Lapad is truly a paradise that you have been looking for. You wil always find life guards on alert, please heed to their warnings. It’s a great place for kids to visit as well.
    Also, take a relaxing swim in the water. For having fresh seafood head to one of the restaurants on the beach.

    19. St. Saviour Church

    St. Saviour Church is an interesting church that can be found in Dubrovnik.
    The high vault has lot of details built into it. The cemetry has got quite a few notable person buried. I usually look for altar, it usually tells you how beautiful the church is. And you won’t be disappointed here.
    Climb up, and up and up to get to the top. The church looks kinda imposing, and I mean it in a positive way. The architectural styles that the church is built in are Gothic architecture, Renaissance architecture.
    On 1528 the church was opened for the public. It was designated as world heritage site in 1520.

    20. Orlando’s Column


    Orlando’s Column is an elegant monument located in the center of the Dubrovnik city. This beautiful column stands as a monument and a commemorative object.
    The column is made entirely of stone.

    Kalelarga street is a pedestrian friendly street in the old town center of Dubrovnik. Kalelarga street has been a pedestrian street for quite some time now.
    Many restaurants and cafes have setup tables outside, which I personally find very charming.

    Gruz port parking is a public park located in the Dubrovnik city. If you have time, it makes for a nice addition to your Dubrovnik trip.
    The playground at the park is also an added attraction. The attached cafe is quite chill. The park is recommended for families.
    If you are into photography, this is your place. The lighting on the fountain is brilliant.

    Buggy Safari is a great place to indulge yourself in the ATV fun.
    Half the fun of driving ATV is maneuvering in the rough terrain. By the end of it your ATV will be covered in mud and you might as well, but don’t worry.

    38. Franjo Tuđman Bridge


    Franjo Tuđman Bridge is a beautiful bridge with bungee jumping activity. If you are not into jumping you can simply watch as well.
    A great place to bungee jump indeed. The total length of the bridge stands at around 518 m. On 11 May 2002 the bridge was opened for the public.

    Undoubtedly, Dubrovnik Aquarium is well kept by its staff. The aquarium offers a diverse set of collection. Finding Nemo? You won’t have to, as there are so many of them in here.
    Take part in the feeding session, its a fun way to interact with animals. There are small sharks in here, can you guess the species?

    40. Fort St. Ivana


    Fort St. Ivana is a large fort complex housing many medieval structures. The fort complex will give you a well preserved medieval feel.

    Brsalje ulica, often described as the vein of the city, is an old street in Dubrovnik. This historic descent connects two important neighborhoods of the city.
    The old street dates back to hundreds of years to the imperial times.

    Homeland War Museum is a prominent museum dedicated to the horrors of country’s one of the worst wars. If you have time, it makes for a nice addition to your Dubrovnik trip.
    The museum is reminder of the dark sides of humanity.

    44. Upper Corner Tower Foundry Museum


    Upper Corner Tower Foundry Museum is a small museum in Dubrovnik city.

    All in all, whether you are a backpacker, a solo traveler or a female traveler, a couple or a family, there are plenty of things to do in Dubrovnik for everyone. There is something about Dubrovnik, that pulls you back to this place again and again, to explore more and more.
